To provide funds to subsidize travel to North America or Europe for purposes of scholarly activity by foreign scholars in the area of judgment and decision research.
Applicants should be scholars living and working outside the destination who will use the award to help pay for travel for scholarly activities associated with research in judgment and decision making; most awards will be granted to early-career faculty or advanced graduate students at colleges and universities, but others will also be considered.
Selection will be granted on the basis of the committee’s estimate of the prospective value of the proposed activity, its relevance to the field of judgment and decision research; the scholarly credentials of the applicant; and the extent to which the award would contribute to the applicant’s success (including considerations of financial and academic need).
