To provide support for independent graduate-level studies in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology (including all science, engineering, social science and resource management of ocean and coastal areas), particularly by women and members of minority groups.
Applicant must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident or a citizen of a U.S. territory; pursue a masters or doctoral level degree in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology; cumulative and term grade point average of 3.30 or higher; full-time student status for the duration of the scholarship award.
Selection will be based on the committee criteria.
